First week of school

Wow the first week of school has come and gone now. It's been a little weird getting used to being a full time student again. Also the fact that I'm now unemployed since I'm a student now. Well anyway this first week of school I've been trying to get used to the new curriculum and trying to get used to my new area in Sacramento, or more specific Rancho Cordova.

I find the way of teaching using team based learning is quite interesting since we have our teams that we break into after we take a short quiz at the start of the class. Although doing it this way helps me get to know people in my class.

The amount of work I have to do is expected of a grad school, and it does feel good to know that I now have something to do other than be bored. The readings I have to do does feel draining, but its the acquisition of the knowledge I need to be a pharmacist that keeps me going and motivated.

I am a little bit sad though since this is going to be my first time I'm going to miss out on attending the annual Labor Day BBQ I have with my friends. Unfortunately, I feel that this might be the weekend that homesickness might hit me the hardest. Although I know I'll get to see my friends and family later on, it was nice to be home last year and see my friends often. And I know that I'll make new friends while I'm up here as well. To my friends and family on this Labor day weekend I say "Cheers!"
