Growing up

I think I may have posted something about growing up before somewhere in my blog entries. This one is about my reflections upon the experiences that one goes through and what we learn as we grow older.

One of the many obvious things of growing up is that we gain more and more responsibilities and we need to learn how to manage all of them and get used to them. This aspect while difficult during the beginning, but once we become adapted to the new responsibilities they become easier and don't seem as scary or overwhelming as before.

A few things which I have learned as I've grown up is learning about people. For example how people when things take a turn for the worse they end up giving up so easily. How some people just can't accept you for who you are and can discard you. How people when it comes down to it will only look out for themselves. As well I've learned about relationships and how despite being hurt in them, both people in the relationship must have equal views in order for it to work out.

Those are some of the hard truths that I have had to learn as I grow up. Sometimes I think that it would be a whole lot easier if I didn't grow up, but that's impossible. I just have to be ready to face the harsh reality and endure it.
